Junying Zhou
Junying Zhou is a PhD researcher at the Royal College of Art and an interdisciplinary designer working at the intersection of smart textiles, soft robotics, wearable technology, and human-centered design. Her research explores how interactive clothing can support emotional regulation and wellbeing through embodied, affective, and multisensory interaction. Drawing on design research, psychology, and material experimentation, she develops wearable systems that integrate sensing, responsive actuation, and 3D-printed structures to rethink the relationship between technology, the body, and care.

Symbio Desert
Collaborated in a multidisciplinary team exploring adaptive fashion solutions addressing global desertification challenges. Contributed through extensive background research, conceptual development, and practical experimentation. Designed interactive garments integrating a responsive water circulation system and temperature-sensitive fabrics that dynamically adapt to environmental changes and human physiological conditions.

Deformation - Mechanical Motion:
Transformative clothing integrating mechanical motion with sustainable 3D printed materials.

Methodology of Escaping from Society:
Psychological identity exploration through wearable art installations.
